Toronto, ON – July 10, 2019 – SharpShooter Funding and First Down Funding join the Canadian Funders Association as general members.
First Down Funding and SharpShooter, are proud to become a member of the Canadian Lenders Association and looks forward to adhering to the principles for which they stand. “Membership of the CLA establishes First Down Funding and SharpShooter as trusted brands in the small business funding sector, setting them apart from non-members in the transparent way they conduct business” said Paul Pitcher, the Managing Partner of SharpShooter.
The CLA represents Canada’s innovative funding community. They work to facilitate the exchange of ideas and explore ways of improving the sector, educate the public at large about innovative funding for small business owners, encourage principled and professional practices among their members, and advocate on their member’s behalf.
Their primary purpose is to support companies like First Down Funding and SharpShooter, who serve small businesses, and to provide those companies with the tools they need to continue to innovate and grow.
On acceptance into the CLA, general members agree to support the CLA Purposes and conduct themselves in accordance with the CLA’s Mission. The Mission necessitates members to demonstrate a commitment to safe and ethical funding practices, with a particular emphasis on transparency, clarity, and responsibility. All members of the CLA are vetted and accredited based on their corporate standards and values, providing their clients with reassurance and peace of mind when dealing with inaugurated members.
The CLA’s membership committee of co-chairs has approved First Down Funding as well as its Canadian sister company, SharpShooter Funding, for general membership.
Paul Pitcher founded First Down Funding in Annapolis, Maryland in 2012 and its sister company, SharpShooter, June 8th, 2015 to grow into the Canadian small business market. Since then, he has enjoyed tremendous success working with small business owners across the continent.
First Down Funding and SharpShooter specialize in structuring and approving business funding and merchant services. Both companies pride themselves on their ability to give their clients personal attention and offer creative solutions. This includes long-term funding even where applicants have less than ideal credit files. In some cases, they are able to offer clients same day approval and next day advances. Small business owners can apply online, and over 75 percent of applications are approved.
Both of Mr. Pitcher’s companies have been featured in major publications including Forbes Magazine, Bleacher Report, and Sports Illustrated.
Mr. Pitcher says his goal and vision is to bring efficient, transparent, and reliable small business funding to small business owners worldwide. He is excited to share his industry-related knowledge, expertise, and experience with like-minded individuals. He will be speaking at the first ever deBanked Canada event which will take place at The Omni King Edward Hotel in King Street East, Toronto, on July 25.
deBanked is a trade publication and events company dedicated to the non-bank and small business finance industry. On July 25, deBanked CONNECT Toronto will bring together brokers, funders, and folks from the MCA and small business funding industry for an evening of education, networking, and cocktails.
Mr. Pitcher will speak at the event at 4:00 pm with his specialist topic being Sales and Marketing Strategies. During the discussion, Pitcher and his fellow guest speakers, which includes an SEO expert, will share insight on their career, experience, learning, and tips on how marketing strategies can generate leads for sales.
